Yvens Armand Darilus was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His family originates from Haiti. From, a young age he loved to write. He would use his imagination to create wonderful stories. He wrote as a way to escape reality and show the harsh realities of life. His first taste of poetry performance started at his high school talent show where, he performed “A Friendship that drifted apart”. He later, when on to perform at various place such as Critical breakdown and other places around the Boston area. Yvens was part of books of hope from 2002 to 2006 where he published poetry books.

Yvens was formally apart of C.R.A.K Poetry back in 2009. Yvens was the first C.R.A.K Poet of C.R.A.K Poetry. The acronym of C.R.A.K Poetry is Creative Revolution Around Knowledge. Yvens also perform in school plays and he also was the narrator of the Books of Hope play. He later, when on to perform at various place such as Critical breakdown and other places around the Boston area. After that he performed at Slades in boston as part of C.R.A.K Poetry. He, also helps co-host the D. Shap in the morning shows at Salem State on Fridays.
